The unique Redwood Stone authentic aged stone finish is without parallel, ‘looking and smelling’ centuries old. Our design team have studied the effects of centuries of weathering on such beautiful examples of local mediaeval masonry as Wells Cathedral and Glastonbury Abbey as well as countless more hidden treasures. Each of our pieces is first hand carved in stone before moulds are made.
It is at this stage that the most important effects of ageing are replicated, hence creating the look of mediaeval, weather and time ravaged limestone. The manufactured pieces seen here carry these signatures and are then given a shaded weathered finish to complete the aged look. From this moment onwards the weathering and the authenticity of the aged appearance only improves as can be seen from the examples below.
