Our centrepiece for the Peter Beales Roses exhibit in the Great Pavilion at Chelsea Flower Show has humble origins in our Somerset workshop. Everything laid out, a dry run and ready to go.

To save time the lower half of the Cloister Tower for Peter Beales Roses is pre-built on a sturdy pallet ready to be shipped to the showground. I didn’t just pose for this one, honest, I laid a few bricks to refresh the muscle memory ready for the Chelsea build.

Matt is up to the first window jambs (side pieces) and they are nicely bricked in and supported. This is as far as we will go for now.

The pre-built base section for the Cloister Tower is now braced and ready for the journey to the Great Pavilion!

We start at midday on Monday and have about 24hours to complete our work. Ian will want us (and our dust!) out of the way before the main deliveries of roses start flooding in at Tuesday lunchtime.
